What a great beginner coach actually does
The beginner phase is the highest-leverage coaching there is: the habits and technique you build in the first six months compound for years. A good coach makes starting simple — and makes quitting hard.
Starts smaller than you expect
Two or three sessions a week you'll actually complete beats a six-day plan you abandon by Thursday. Early wins build the habit; the habit builds everything else.
Teaches movements before loading them
Squat, hinge, push, pull — learned properly with video demos in the app and your coach's feedback, so the gym stops feeling like a place where everyone else got a manual you didn't.
Makes the plan survive real life
Missed a week? Travelling? Sore? You message your coach and the plan adapts. That's the difference between a program and a coach — nothing assumes you're a robot.
Shows you your own progress
First full push-up, ten kilos on the bar, a month of consistent weeks — logged, celebrated, visible. Beginners quit because they can't see it working; your coach makes sure you can.
Before you hire
I'm really unfit — do I need to get in shape before hiring a coach?
That's like cleaning before the cleaner comes. Starting from zero is precisely what beginner coaches do all day, and honestly the clients they most enjoy — progress is fastest and most visible in the first months. Come exactly as you are; the plan meets you there.
Is online coaching enough for a total beginner?
For most people, yes: your program lives in the app with video demonstrations for every exercise, you log each session, and your coach reviews your check-ins (and form videos if you send them) weekly. If you want hands-on sessions early, some coaches list a location and train in person too — filter for your area.
Does Repstra cost me anything?
No. Coaching stays free for clients — the app, your workouts, nutrition tracking, check-ins and messaging never cost you a cent. You only ever pay your coach, at the price they set, directly.
How do I know a coach is actually good before I pay?
Every coach on Repstra publishes their real methodology — how they program, how they handle nutrition, how they check in — before they can charge anyone. Read their actual work, compare a few, then message the one who makes sense to you. No blind commitment.
Do I have to train in person, or is it online?
Both exist on the marketplace. Many coaches work fully online — you get your program, log workouts, track food and check in through the app from anywhere. Others list a location if they also train in person. Each profile says how they work.
